Re: Fly! II and Windows 10

Hi Ian, Yes, one can set up a dual boot system, but I would hazard a guess one needs a rather large HDD to create a separate partition in order to load the OS and any programs that way. I know for my Fly! II install alone was nearly 14GB, plus you would need to have saved the SP updates along the wa...

Re: Fly! II and Windows 10

Hi Ian - good to hear from you again! Been quite some time! Yes, I am concluding that it has to do with DX 11 which appears to have no backwards compatibility with DX 8, which was the latest version Fly! II supported. Appears DX 10 and 9 supported backwards compatibility, and problem I run into is n...

Fly! II and Windows 10

Greetings all, It has been a long time since I have posted, but am curious to know if anyone here is using their Fly! II still, and if one might have been able to get it working under the new Windows 10 OS? I relegated my Fly! II install to my one laptop, but as it does not have an internal DVD driv...

Re: Fly! Legacy 0.4.0 alpha

Installed this build yesterday and on my Win7 64 bit machine, works well. Love TJ's new 172 panel. Very nicely done! I have a question, though. I have the Seneca V and TB10 I downloaded last year for the 0.3.x version of the release. Each zipfile has one single pod file in it. I place that file in ...

Re: Fly! Legacy 0.4.0 alpha

Hi Ken, The fact is we have added a lot of new features since the 0.3.x versions even for the aircraft and we can't just copy and paste anymore the old aircraft without a revamp of certain files. It's not a big deal to modify the mandatory files but our present goal is to prepare a public version w...

Fly Legacy 0.4.0 alpha build

I have flown about with the Cessna for the last two days, and I must say that this is a LARGE step up in the correct direction. Really nice job on the cockpit. Everything is nicely laid out and works in all views. Did notice the plane seems a bit sluggish yet - especially on ground handling. Also, a...

Question on the Fly! AVSIM forum

Hi gang! Just popped by to re-check out the site and see what is happening, but also to let Laurent know there is a question regarding one of his and T.J.'s enhancements - one of the moving map items that I know I am not able to answer. So if either Laurent or T.J. has a little time to answer Brian'...

Re: FlyII + DVD freezes after 5 minutes.

Hi Randy - this may be a bit late, but better late than never! On AVSIM there should be a small program called MEMCALC by Jeff Burke that will help you figure out the (supposedly) best render settings for your video card. Do a search of the file library for MemCalc and you should find it easil...
